World Physiotherapy Day 2020

Gokhale Education Society’s Sir.Dr.M.S.Gosavi college of Physiotherapy and Health Care Management conducted 3 sessions in a Webinar on the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day, on 8th September 2020. The login of webinar started at 10 am. After welcoming all students and introduction of webinar, Dr.Basavraj Chandu (PT), Principal GES’s S.D.M.S.G COPT & HCM started with 1st session on strengthening exercises, from 10:30am to 12pm. Dr. Vidhi Sanghvi (PT) who is strength & conditioning expert, conducted 2nd session on aerobic conditioning & general fitness from 12 pm to 1:30pm. After lunch break of 1 hour, 3rd session was conducted by Dr. Nikita Pathak (PT) on stretching technique from 2:30pm to 4pm. It was highly knowledgeable sessions for students.

All the students from II BPTh winter batch, I BPTh summer batch and odd batch, total 79 students attended all 3 sessions from their home.

International yoga day 2020

Webinar taken by Dr.Nikita Pathak (PT) on the occasion of International Yoga day on 21st June 2020. She has done diploma in yoga teacher and taken various yoga classes with Yog Vidya Dham Nashik. The webinar was from 9am to 10am.

40 students from I BPTh batch were attended this webinar. All performed variopus asanas like Trikonasana, Halasana, Sarvangasana, Matyasana, Padmasana, Sidhhasana, Paschimottanasana etc. Nadishuddhi pranayama and kapalbhati pranayama also performed by everyone.

MUHS Foundation Day 2020

MUHS foundation was celebrated in GES’s SDMSG COPT & HCM on 10th june 2020 in college campus. MUHS’s flag was hoisted by Principal Dr.Basavaraj Chand(PT). It was followed by national anthem.

Due to corona pandemic, everyone followed the social distancing and everyone used mask and sanitiser. Dr.Nikita Pathak (PT), Dr.Sarita Kulkarni (PT), Mr.Ashish Kulkarni, Mr. Vikas Gawale were present.

Skills Development Programme

Objectives: To enable the physiotherapy students to:

• acquire necessary oral and written Communication Skills in English, essential for academic and professional success
• build up their vocabulary for better comprehension and presentation
• develop their personality by possessing Hard Skills and Soft Skills for better job opportunities

BLOOD DONATION CAMP

On the occasion of National Youth Day [ Birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand i.e on 12th January],GES’s Sir. Dr. M.S.Gosavi, College of Physiotherapy and health care management, Nashik had oraganised voluntary blood donation camp. The said activity was organized under guidance of Principal of GES,SDMSG COPT Dr.Basavraj Chandu and in collaboration with Arpan Blood bank,Nashik on Saturday 18th January 2020 from 9.30am to 2.30pm in Physiotherapy College Gymnasium Hall.Total 140 members participated for the blood donation including Physiotherapy,Nursing and Commerce Staff and Students. As per the eligibility criteria i.e Age,Hb count,Blood pressure, Previous Medical history etc,the blood units were collected.Total 33 units were collected as per the eligibility.The camp was conducted under the guidance of Dr.Vaishali kale[M.D Path]and blood transfusion consultant Mrs.Kiran Jadhav.

Kite Festival 2020

College students and staff represented our college in kite festival which was held in GES’s H.A.L College of commerce, Ozar, on 13th January 2020. Total 11 teams were participated from 11 colleges of Gokhale Education Society, Nashik. All the teams were given a name and all the materials which are needed to fly a kite. Inauguration of the festival was done by Dr. Shailesh Kulkarni sir who was Guest of Honour of function.

Our college team got consolation prize (4th) in the kite festival 2020. The winner was decided according to the dressing of team members, kite flying technique, saving team’s kites and chasing another team’s kites etc. Prize distribution was done by Dr. Ram Kulkarni sir, Principal of BYK college of Commerce and Zonal secretary of GES.

International Conference on Women’s Health & AMOGS Zonal Conference,Loni

Dr.Basavraj Chandu and Dr.Sarita Kulkarni,faculty of GES’s Sir. Dr. M.S.Gosavi, College of Physiotherapy and health care management, Nashik attended International conference on Women’s health & AMOGS Zonal Conference,2019 organized by Dept. of Obstertrics and Gynecology,Rural Medical College, Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences,organized under the aegis of LOGS,AMOGS,WHTF held on 8th-10th November,2019. Two of the faculty from our college presented the Scientific Posters, Dr.Basavraj Chandu and Dr.Sarita Kulkarni. Scientific poster presentations were based on the theme of Obstetric and Gynaecology,Reproductive health and Maternal health.

26^th National Annual M.C.E.A.M Conference

All of the faculty of GES’s Sir. Dr. M.S.Gosavi, College of Physiotherapy and health care management, Nashik attended 26th National Annual M.C.E.A.M Conference 2019, organized by GES with a theme of Health Care Education in India held on 2nd and 3rd november. Two of the faculty from our college presented the paper Dr.Basavraj Chandu and Dr.Sarita Kulkarni. The Activities conducted by the college during the past 1 year were presented in the form of posters during the exhibition.

TEACHER’S DAY 2019

All students and staff of GES’s Sir. Dr. M.S.Gosavi, College of Physiotherapy and health care management, Nashik celebrated Teachers day on 5TH September 2019.
The celebration was conducted from 03.00 to 04.00pm which included various activities like Welcoming of the Chief guest followed by Prayer,Society Anthem and felicitation of the Chief guest,Principal sir and rest all the teachers of the College.

We were blessed to have a Chief Guest Mr. V. N. Suryawanshi Principal, H. P.T. Arts & R.Y.K. Science College,Nashik.Address by Chief guest Mr.V.N Suryawanshi sir was quite motivating and inspiring for the entire audience. Principal Dr.Basavraj sir spoke about the significance of Guru in our Life and to have a learning attitude throughout the Life.Program was concluded by singing the National anthem.

All students and staff of GES’s Sir. Dr. M.S.Gosavi, college of Physiotherapy and health care management, Nashik celebrated International Yoga day on 21st June 2019 in college. We were blessed to have a Yoga teacher Mr. Gajanan Kadam who is a National winner of yoga competition and well known yoga teacher in Nasik.

He took a session from 11:30 am to 12:30pm. He had also performed the asanas to guide the audience. He explained the importance of each asanas and pranayama. Students and staff performed the asanas and pranayama with great enthusiasm.
